Accounting

Accounting is designed to introduce students to accounting terms and concepts, business transactions and the accounting equation. The program will help you to understand how to “follow the money”! Emphasis will be on developing the skill to use general, special and communication financial journals,worksheets and financial statements, banking activities, payroll records taxes and adjusting and closing entries. You will also receive training on QuickBooks, which is electronic accounting software. You will understand financial transactions and how they affect profit and loss in business

The program includes participation in DECA, Distributive Education Clubs of America! You will have the opportunity for mock interviews, resume writing, applying for real jobs, and representing your club at local and national competitions! This course prepares you to be an entrepreneur or to be an asset to large and small businesses!
